In 2022, we re-launched our Tuki cafe after it’s hiatus during the pandemic. It has been re-located to Oatlands Community Centre with a re-designed menu, offering cakes and hot drink refreshments. The cafe in run by youth volunteers who are gaining invaluable skills to help with their future employability. The Youth Cafe also offers a warm spaces to local residents where they can come in and enjoy a cup of tea and cake.

The cafe runs on the third Saturday of every month, 2-4pm from Oatlands Community Centre and it is open to everyone!

In 2021, we held a soft launch of the new Tuki Cafe and the youth volunteers raised over £100 for Oatlands Community Centre to help with their appeal to fundraise towards their mortgage as they are fighting to keep the building as a community hub.

This year we are lucky enough to have receive a £250 grant from Sainsbury’s, with the help of the manager of our local Sainsbury’s on Leeds Road. This grant has allowed us to purchase all the necessary sundries and supplies to be able to run the Tuki Youth Cafe whilst maximising the amount of fundraising we can achieve for Oatlands Community Centre. We also received the opportunity to Crowdfund for our Warm Spaces with matched funding from the Coop, we have raised over £4,500 which has allowed us to pay Oatlands Community Centre for the gas and electricity costs accrued during these events. Thank you to everyone who supported the Crowdfunder!
