After the success of our last event, Oatlands Community Group is pleased to present our next one…
Digital Parenting & E-safety Talk
- Are you worried about what your child does online?
- Do you know what games and apps they are using and the risks some of these bring?
- Do you sometimes feel they know more than you?
Come along to our 45 minute session, led by Alicia Coad, designed to equip parents with the resources to keep their children safe online. As well as covering the latest advice from e-safety experts, Alicia will explain the benefits of a new free app called ChatFOSS (Friends Only Stay Safe), a communication tool for children which allows them to benefit from the fun of social media while reducing their exposure to some of the risks.
The talk will be held at Oatlands Social Club on Thursday 19 May. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. There will be time to socialise after the talk and refreshments will be available at the bar. There is no charge for entry but you will need to book online in advance as places are limited due to the venue’s fire regulations.
After a successful E-Safety Talk, Chat Foss has kindly supplied a PDF document with all the references to useful sites and relevant information.DOWNLOAD
